You Ask - I Answer

What is integrative, holistic, non-directive therapy?

This explains the type of therapy that is practiced.
Integrative means that the theory behind the therapy comes from many different therapy models, including Jung, Klein and Rogers.
Holistic means that I take into consideration the whole child, including their home and school environments.
Non-directive means that the child is free to choose what he or she does in the session and I will only make suggestions, occasionally, if I feel they will be significantly beneficial.
Finally the therapy is non analytical, I am not trying to find answers, simply working alongside the child to find strategies to cope.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

No, my rate is kept as low as possible to make it an affordable process. However, if you are keen and for your child to attend therapy and cannot afford the costs then I can help you look into finding funding.

How is the therapy monitored?

The therapy itself is confidential, however all therapists have regular supervision from an experienced, trained professional. In addition to this being a member of Play Therapy UK means that I have I have undertaken an accredited training programme - a post graduate diploma, I have an up to date clear police check and I work to PTUK's Ethical Framework.
To see if the therapy is successful, measures are taken, with the client's consent,  at the beginning and end of therapy.
