My Story

Helping children reach their full potential

My name is Sarah, therapist at Playing Forward, Play Therapy services, Finchley, North London - here to help your child through bumps in the road. I am passionate about play and its wondrous ability to heal.

I had been a primary school teacher for 20 years, but wanted to find a way to help children with their emotional difficulties I could see they were facing. I am now a certified play therapist and have worked with children who suffer from anxiety issues, trauma and abuse.

I am a trained Filial Therapist and Child-Parent Relationship Therapist, allowing me to work directly with parents, assisting them to be the agents of change in their children's lives. I have also undertaken training with ICDL in DIRFloortime, a wonderfully gentle way of working with ASD and neurodivergent children and their families.

I have seen incredible results through non-directive Play Therapy, Filial Therapy and Floortime, with children learning better, improvements in their behaviour and most importantly becoming happier and more confident in themselves.

I am registered with PTUK and work within their ethical framework. I have an enhanced DBS and professional insurance.
